Leading US business Slade Gorton Joins Seafood Task Force - Jan '25

Slade Gorton, a leading North American seafood company has joined the Seafood Task Force (STF), a trade association that represents the world’s largest retailers, seafood brands and their partners.

Headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts, Slade Gorton is a family-operated business founded almost a century ago and now part of the Cooke family of companies. Serving the retail and foodservice industries across North America, Slade Gorton offers a broad array of safe and responsibly harvested fresh, frozen and value-added seafood products, sourced from a global network spanning over 20 countries.

Founded in 2014, the STF brings together members of global tuna and shrimp supply chains, serving more than 350 million customers globally, helping businesses to drive supply chain oversight and continuous improvement from vessel to plate. 

All members of the STF are working to produce fully traceable, ethically produced and environmentally responsible seafood, meeting international social and environmental standards and growing due diligence requirements.

All STF members provide an annual self-declaration of their supply chain mapping, risk assessment and traceability work, which allows the STF members to share trends and identify best practices.
