Requirements
- A degree in Fisheries Management or similar qualification preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience working with high-seas fisheries.
- Experience with tuna fisheries and tuna fishery management is preferred.
- Experience managing or supporting social audit or assessment programs within tuna fisheries is preferred.
- Fluency in English, as well as both Simplified and Traditional Chinese, is required. Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia would be an advantage.
- Experience working in multi-stakeholder environments and building collaborative partnerships.
- Strong cross-cultural communication, facilitation, and active listening skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Flexibility to work across US and European time zones.
Responsibilities
- Perform the professional and timely technical review of STF vessel assessment reports received from audit firms.
- Develop practical guidance, templates, and training materials to support the implementation and monitoring of effective corrective action plans addressing gaps identified during STF vessel assessments.
- Coordinate with STF tuna member companies, vessel owners, and STF audit partners operating in selected ports to facilitate the effective implementation and monitoring of vessel's specific corrective action plans and industry wide remediation projects.
- Provide technical support, guidance, and training to STF tuna member companies, vessel owners, and STF audit partners, as required.
- Support other STF programs and activities as required.
