Seafood Task Force Appoints Aquaculture Veteran Pitipong Dejjarukul To Leadership Team

The Seafood Task Force (STF) has appointed Pitipong Dejjarukul to its Leadership Team. Mr. Dejjarukul brings over two decades of experience in sustainable aquaculture and seafood business practices across Asia.

In his most recent role as Vice President at Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company, Mr. Dejjarukul was responsible for managing and expanding the sustainable production of aqua feed ingredients across Thailand, Malaysia, India, China, Vietnam, and the Philippines. His efforts focused on collaborating with international sustainability organisations to develop ethical and environmentally responsible aquaculture business practices.

STF Executive Director, Martin Thurley said:

"We are delighted to have Pitipong bring his invaluable expertise to advance the STF’s vision of fully traceable, socially conscious and environmentally sustainable seafood supply chains."

As a member of the Leadership Team, Mr. Dejjarukul will apply his in-depth knowledge of promoting responsible aquaculture and seafood business practices across Asia. He will focus on regional supply chain issues and opportunities to drive progress on traceability, ethical recruitment, habitat protections and reduced environmental impacts.

"I am excited to work with the STF, leveraging my experience across global seafood companies and sustainability organisations to create meaningful, industry-wide change,” said Mr. Pitipong Dejjarukul. “Collaborative initiatives focused on transparency, human rights and reducing environmental impacts are key to the future of responsible and competitive seafood production.”

The appointment of Mr. Dejjarukul signals the STF’s commitment to including diverse voices with on-the-ground experience and technical expertise. As a Thai national with extensive connections across Asia Pacific, Mr. Dejjarukul will bring a valuable regional perspective to the Team.

His multifaceted experience and collaborative approach complements existing STF expertise to help advance comprehensive, pragmatic improvements across complex global seafood supply chains.
